The Destructiveness of Anger

Anger is like a thunderstorm
that leaves disaster in its wake.
It brings hail, lightning and tornadoes
that cut a path through another person's heart.

Angry people have no way of warning you
to stay out of harm’s way.
They have no control of the forces
that erupt inside of them and shatter the calm.

Saying “I’m sorry” is insufficient, for
anger destroys the marital bond.
One can only hope there are funds of wisdom and love
to explore and repair the damage done.
